Business Planning and Success Checklist
04-Jan-2010New Year’s resolutions come and go. Make this year’s resolutions count by developing a simple plan and having key information at your fingertips!
This checklist can help you think about some of the issues you might like to address and get organised for improved financial performance.
- Are your goals and plans in writing? Putting in writing greatly increases the likelihood of meeting them?
- Do you have a clear list of marketing activities and when they occur during the year?
- Do you have a client listing broken down into segments with strategies on how to increase sales to each segment?
- Do you have a well-defined procedures manual for each department and key task within the business? If procedures are not standardised it is very easy to get off track.
- Have you reviewed your financial performance ‘year-to-date’? Do you have up to date and accurate financial reports?
- Have you calculated the profit margins of the products/services you provide?
- Do you know the benchmark of your Industry’s financial performance?
Final thought:
People most regret the things that they didn’t do, not the things that they have done. It’s highly unlikely that you’ll regret working on and implementing your business and financial plan.
